Contest FAQs

1. What is People Science?

People and partners are demanding scientific rigor more than ever! People Science offers a customized clinical trial solution that combines our digital research platform, Chloe, with optional expert services to meet your precise needs, simplifying and reducing the cost of conducting clinical trials. We enable brands to demonstrate the effectiveness of their products using high-quality, scientifically rigorous data, which can then be used to support trusted claims.

2. How does the Chloe platform work?

Our proprietary software, Chloe, is designed to simplify clinical research. Chloe offers web-based tools for researchers and a user-friendly mobile app for participants, making engagement easy, even from the comfort of participants’ homes. The platform is HIPAA-compliant and can handle everything from study design to evidence generation. It also integrates with wearable technology for passive and active data collection.

3. What data can be collected with Chloe in a decentralized clinical trial?

Chloe is designed to support decentralized clinical trials (DCTs), where participants can engage in the study remotely, without the need to visit a central clinical site. This flexibility allows you to collect a wide range of data from your participants, all within the same platform.

With Chloe, you can collect the following types of data in a decentralized trial:

  • Participant Demographics: Collect basic participant information such as age, gender, medical history, and other relevant background details.
  • Informed Consent: Capture digital consent from participants through customizable consent forms that can be completed remotely, ensuring compliance and data security.
  • Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs): Gather feedback directly from participants about their health status, symptoms, or quality of life using questionnaires or surveys. This data can be collected through mobile apps, web portals, or email.
  • Wearable Data / Digital Biomarkers: In DCTs, you can track digital biomarkers such as heart rate, activity levels, sleep patterns, and other real-time health data collected from wearable devices or mobile apps integrated with Chloe.
  • Photos
  • Lab Results: Capture and track lab results from remote testing centers or home testing kits (not included in software), with the ability to upload and integrate data securely into the system. Our clients have used the Doctor’s Data Urinary Neurotransmitter kit, the TruMe Salivary Biological Age kit and our partner TinyHealth’s stool microbiome test kits, among others.
  • Adverse Event Reporting: Enable participants or remote monitoring staff to report any adverse events directly within the system, which can then be tracked, investigated, and acted upon in real-time.
  • Compliance and Adherence Data: Monitor whether participants are following study protocols (e.g., medication adherence or completing assessments), using automated reminders, tracking features, and remote monitoring tools.

Chloe allows you to collect and manage this data in a unified platform, ensuring smooth data flow, accuracy, and compliance throughout the trial. You can also integrate with third-party systems to pull in additional data from mobile health apps, wearables, and external laboratory services.

By collecting this range of data remotely, Chloe enables you to conduct clinical trials more efficiently and effectively, offering flexibility for both participants and researchers while maintaining data integrity.

Our platform is versatile and can be customized for different types of research, making it ideal for companies looking to validate the effectiveness of their products in areas like food, personal care, and more.
